EMBOSS Announces Katrina Merriweather as Featured Speaker for Boss Babe Brunch 2025

We are honored to announce Katrina Merriweather as a featured speaker at Boss Babe Brunch 2025, taking place on Sunday, June 1st, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the iconic Madam Walker Legacy Center.
Katrina Merriweather is the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at the University of Cincinnati and a rising star in the coaching profession. Over the course of nine seasons, she has led three different programs to the postseason a total of six times, including two NCAA Tournament appearances, and has earned an impressive 180 career wins. Her track record of success, leadership, and mentorship continues to make waves across the world of collegiate athletics.
In just her second season back at Cincinnati, Katrina guided the Bearcats to their first winning season since 2019-20, surpassing the previous year’s win total and reaffirming the program’s upward trajectory under her leadership.
A proud Bearcat alumna, Katrina was a four-year letterwinner under Hall of Fame head coach Laurie Pirtle from 1997–2001, becoming the first women’s basketball player in program history to advance to four consecutive postseason tournaments. As a graduate assistant coach during the 2001-02 season, she played a key role in helping Cincinnati secure its first-ever NCAA Tournament win.
Originally from Indianapolis, Katrina earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature in 2001 and a second bachelor’s in secondary education in 2002. Off the court, she enjoys spending time with her family and her two beloved dogs, Bailey and Maya.
